Job creation at Advanced Supply Chain

LOGISTICS and distribution company Advanced Supply Chain has created 150 jobs following the opening of a new warehouse facility.

The warehouse in Corby, Northamptonshire, signals the first move by the Bradford-headquartered business outside the Yorkshire region.

It will bring Advanced’s total operational space to more than 1m sq ft.

Mike Danby, chief executive of Advanced Supply chain, said: “Advanced Supply Chain is experiencing a huge demand from its current UK clients and the Corby warehouse is the next step in our business plan to meet these needs.

“It is always fantastic to open new premises, and Corby is particularly exciting because it is our first warehouse in the Midlands.

“We are now in position to offer cost effective, timely warehousing and distribution services to all UK businesses irrespective of their, or their customers, location.”

The company is forecasting that the move will help it to increase turnover by £10m to £30m over its next financial year.

The Corby warehouse will take Advanced’s total staff to more than 500.

The business works with brands including Makro, Matalan, George and Debenhams.
