COE owner snaps up Codestuff

DIGITAL Barriers, the homeland security specialist that owns Yorkshire surveillance company COE, has bought Codestuff.
Codestuff, based near Edinburgh, is a developer of IP video products for the security, infrastructure, transportation and defence industries.
Its products are used by a variety of players in the CCTV and security industries. It is an existing supplier of VMS technology to Digital Barriers.
Digital Barriers believes the acquisition will enhance its offer and is to pay £750,000 for Codestuff. If certain targets are met, a further £750,000 will be paid.
Digital Barriers acquired Leeds-vased COE, now part of the group’s product division, in a deal valuing it at around £3.3m, in 2010.
