Board appointment at Premier Farnell
PREMIER Farnell has announced the appointment of Dennis Millard as senior independent director (SID) to its board.
The electronic components distributor said Mr Millard’s appointment follows the retirement from the board of the current SID, John Roques.
Mr Millard was appointed non-executive director in 2007 and is currently a non-executive director and deputy chairman of Smiths News, a non-executive director of Debenhams, Xchanging and EAG and previously a non-executive director of Exel and ARC International.
Earlier this year the Leeds-based company said its pre-tax profits increased by 37% to £24m, while operating profit was up 6% to £24.2m.
Premier Franell sells products ranging from batteries to microchips and supports millions of engineers and purchasing professionals globally through its distribution network.
