Property appointments:

KATY McPhie has been appointed to the planning team at the Yorkshire office of law firm Dickinson Dees.
Ms McPhie originally studied environmental biogeoscience at Leeds University before working for Bradford Council in the planning department for six years, where she advised on town and
country planning matters and, more specifically, breaches of planning legislation.
She subsequently trained as a lawyer at The Endeavour Partnership in Teesside, where she qualified into the corporate and commercial department. She joins Dickinson Dees as a solicitor.

STEVE Elrington has joined Jones Lang LaSalle’s retail agency team as an associate director based in its Leeds office.
Mr Elrington, who has re-joined the property firm, has taken on a new role with the remit to deliver retailer property services across northern England.
His arrival bolsters the existing three man Leeds-based retail team.

SURVEYORS George F White has appointed Killian Gallagher as planning consultant at its Yorkshire and Lincolnshire office.
Mr Gallagher has extensive planning consultancy experience having previously worked for large planning consultancies in both England and Ireland.
He said: “I am excited to have joined this vibrant practice in a challenging period for the UK’s property market. I understand that operating a successful business whilst conforming to the requirements of the planning code can be a major challenge for many businesses and I am looking forward to helping local landowners and other clients in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire area to realise the potential of their land and property assets.”

MARK Kane has been appointed as branch manager at leading estate agency firm Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Baildon office.
Mr Kane, who is originally from Dundee, moved to Bingley 14 years ago and has spent the last seven years working in estate agency.
He replaces Alan Stevens who is retiring after spending more than 30 years living and working in Baildon.
Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacre Son and Hartley, said: “Appointing a new branch manager in Baildon was always going to be a difficult task because Alan is an extremely well-respected member of the local property industry.
“However Mark lives in the area so he has an excellent knowledge of the local market as well as a great track record and plenty of experience which made him the ideal candidate for the job.”
