CITU to redevelop city centre site

DEVELOPER CITU is set to transform the Kelham Island area of Sheffield with a major new housing project.

The firm is to create more than 100 homes on the former industrial site on behalf of landowner The Raven Group.

Property consultants Titchmarsh & Co appointed CITU to redevelop the 3.8 acre site next to the former Green Lane Works.

CITU is in our view the perfect fit to bring forward the development of the land at Green Lane, given its record of success in sustainable regeneration following its landmark and award-winning achievements at Greenhouse in Leeds.

“We hope this deal will light the blue touch paper for increased private sector development activity and act as a catalyst for further residential regeneration across Sheffield.”

Sheffield City Council last week approved revised plans for the scheme which will see a mixture of houses and duplex apartments built on the site.
