Building briefs: Dunlop Heywood, TCS, Carter Towler, Blundells

PROPERTY consultancy Dunlop Heywood is to advise Chinese retail giant Bosideng as it targets the UK retail market.

Bosideng, led by Yorkshire based UK chief executive Wayne Zhu, has already opened a store in Bond Street and London with others set to follow in other city centres.

Leeds-based Dunlop Heywood will handle Bosideng’s rating issues and appeals.

Director Stuart Hicks said: “Bosideng has declared its ambitious plans for expansion across the UK and Dunlop Heywood will be playing a key role in ensuring the sites and premises offer the best possible solutions for its growing High Street presence.”

TOWN Centre Securities has opened a new mini-market offering in the Merrion Centre in Leeds.

The open-plan space can accommodate up to five traders at any one time.

Helen Beckett, associate director for Town Centre Securities, said: “This is a brand new concept for an indoor market and means we can accommodate some of our most loyal, long-standing tenants and other small businesses and start-ups. 

“They can now have a high street presence at the fraction of the cost with built in flexibility. While there is still a traditional market feel, the free, open plan environment is very appealing to shoppers.”

CARTER Towler is marketing four warehouse and manufacturing premises as well as an office building in Wakefield as a business in the town consolidates its operations.

Kingspan Renewables is moving to a single location and is disposing of the properties in the Thornes Lane area.

Estate agency Blundells has opened a new sales and lettings branch in Rotherham.

The new opening takes the number of Blundells branches in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire to 19.
