City ‘gateway’ sites hit market

MORE than seven acres of land across two sites close to Leeds city centre have been put on the market.

Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed alongside Stephen Tonkin as joint selling agents for the mixed-use  development opportunity.

The two freehold sites, historically occupied some years ago by Hydro Aluminum, comprise 3.52 acres and 3.99 acres respectively and are located to the north and south of Clarence Road in close proximity to New Dock and the Royal Armouries.

The site previously had a detailed planning consent for a substantial redevelopment comprising apartments, offices and a hotel together with ancillary retail and leisure space.

It is being promoted in order to attract interest from a wide range of potential uses, subject to planning.

The agents are seeking offers for the freehold interest of either each individual site or the whole.
