PEC picks up £5m of new national contracts
YORKSHIRE contracting, manufacturing and shopfitting company PEC has boosted its order book for 2013 with nationwide contracts worth £5m.
With budgets squeezed and developers wanting more from their contractors for less, the Bradford-based company is emerging from the recession with a record number of projects after completing a busy few years expanding into new sectors.
“Despite the gloomy news from the high street, we have noticed many retailers are investing in their in-store customer experience by upgrading facilities for shoppers. There’s also rising demand from healthcare organisations, as many health services move out of traditional medical centres to community-based and private practices,” said PEC managing director Sohan Panesar.
“We’ve worked hard to break into new markets and have completed projects ranging from the award-winning refurbishment of dementia wards for Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust to the extension and refurbishment of a Bradford dental practice and Leeds Building Society’s branch refurbishment programme.”
Contracts for car servicing and repair company Kwik-Fit, marketing agency Momentum, and Leeds Building Society as well as on-going work with Majestic Wine will see PEC teams despatched around the UK to deliver refurbishment, building and internal fit-out works.
PEC was founded by Balbir Panesar in 1977.
