Absolute Engineering bought by US firm

ABSOLUTE Engineering, a supplier of woven carbon fibre doctoring systems, has been acquired by US manufacturing firm Pamarco Technologies.
West Yorkshire-based Absolute Engineering supplies to the envelope, label, paper conversion, coating, flexible packaging, tissue and corrugated sectors and Pamarco Technologies’ anilox and rubber rollers are used in printing presses all over the world. The company’s European office is based in Cheshire and it acquired Absolute for an undisclosed sum.
Antony Whiteside, managing director of Absolute said: “This acquisition allows Absolute to invest significantly in new production capacity, allowing us to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding customer base. It also allows us to exploit the synergy created by combining the expertise and technology of the fastest growing blade systems company with one of the most technically advanced suppliers to the printing industry.
“This will ensure that we can continue to develop both our existing products and the new innovative products that our customers need.”
Hilton Legal advised Absolute Engineering on the deal.
North West law firm Brabners advised Pamarco Technologies. Corporate associate, Mark Traynor led the team. He said: “We are delighted to have played our part in this transaction which is a very exciting opportunity for our client and complements its existing business activity.”
