Luxury cars from Eric France liquidation go under the hammer

LUXURY cars, including a McLaren MP4 supercar, which once belonged to former directors of collapsed scrap metals business Eric France are to be auctioned by liquidators.

The McLaren plus two Porsches and two Range Rovers and watches including two IWC models and two Rolex models and an unused Vertu Constellation T mobile phone – which cost several thousand pounds – will go under the hammer in an online auction arranged by Yorkshire property agents Sanderson Weatherall.

JKL (Wakefield), trading as Eric France Metals, entered into creditors’ voluntary liquidation earlier this year with KPMG and PwC appointed joint liquidators.

The company was formerly the main sponsor of Super League team Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

The auction items are believed to have been owned by the former directors of the firm and their families.

The sports and prestige vehicles to be auctioned are:

2012 McLaren MP4-12C
2012 Porsche Cayenne 4.8 V8 S Tiptronic S
2011 Porsche Panamera 4.8 V8 S Turbo S-A
2011 Range Rover 4.4 Auto-B Ultimate T – one of a limited edition of 500
2011 Range Rover 4.4 TDU8A Autobiography

Also featured are personalised registration plates such as 201 KTM and KTF 662.

Luxury watches to be auctioned are a 2011 Portuguese IWC Perpetual Calendar and Moonphase; a 2007 IWC Chronograph Pilots; a 1984 Rolex Submariner Chronograph and a ladies’ Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust.

The cars are expected to realise about £300,000 and the watches and phone could realise between £15,000 and £20,000.

The online auction will go live at www.Bidspotter.co.uk from Tuesday, November 12 and bidding will close at 12 noon on Friday, 22nd November.

Viewing will be by appointment only at various locations in West Yorkshire on Monday and Tuesday, 18 and 19 November.
