Property appointments: Wykeland Group; Eddisons; HPC; Jones Lang LaSalle

HULL-based property development and investment specialist the Wykeland Group has appointed surveyor Tom Watson to its headquarters team.

Watson is one of several new arrivals to the group this year and will be working with Guy Evans, Wykeland’s head of development, on a number of forthcoming projects as well as assisting the in-house asset management function.

Watson came to Hull to study in 2002 and has spent the past five years working with a local commercial property agency. He said: “I am genuinely excited at the prospect of joining Wykeland.

“The company is very progressive and has a significant property portfolio stretching from Grimsby up to Glasgow. I am especially looking forward to working on projects such as the regeneration of the Central Dry Dock in Hull, the Flemingate scheme in Beverley and the development of the Glasshoughton site near Castleford.”

Eddisons THE Leeds office of chartered surveyors Eddisons has welcomed Steven Jones to its agency department as a senior surveyor.

He joins from Ryden where he specialised in commercial office instructions and also has experience of the industrial sector across the Yorkshire region. His key clients include Highcross, Helmsley Group, Towngate and Strawsons Property.
Jones will be responsible for growing the private client base and supporting the existing team on general agency work and acquisitions.

HPCJAMES Richards has joined specialist healthcare property consultancy HPC as part of its agency team.

Richards started specialising in healthcare in 1995 and has worked with major international surveying firms, having previously run his own agency and consultancy.

He relocated from Cardiff to join the York team and will develop HPC’s private client business as the company continues to expand its transactional and consultancy services.

HPC director Ian Wilkie said: “Both my co-director Nigel Newton Taylor and I have worked alongside James in the past and have no doubt that his professionalism and market knowledge will enhance the service we can offer to our clients. We are delighted to welcome him to the team as we continue the growth we have seen over recent months.”

 JLLPROPERTY consultancy Jones Lang LaSalle has strengthened its Leeds team with the appointment of Clem McDowell.

He joins as a graduate surveyor team having recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BSc (Hons) Real Estate degree. He will undertake three placements during his training period with the firm and is currently working in the office agency team.

Jones Lang LaSalle has recruited 37 graduates in total this year with trainees taking seats in London and across the firm’s regional offices.
