New chapter for Andrew Page

LEEDS-BASED motor parts distribution group
Andrew Page & Co has extended its property holdings in the city
with the acquisition of a 30,000 sq ft warehouse and light
industrial unit in Sussex Avenue, Hunslet, close to the M1 and M621
motorway network.
The long leasehold interest was sold for
£1.6m by industrial specialist Gent Visick, acting on behalf
of Morley Fund Management and is scheduled to become the growing
firm's 39th outlet.
Gent Visick's Nick
Prescott commented: “So close to Leeds city centre and the
motorway network, this site could not be better placed and I'm
sure it will make depot number 39 a valuable addition to Andrew
Page's national network.”
Gent Visick acted for
Morley Fund Management, jointly with CBRE. Andrew Page was
represented by Towlers.
The original company, Andrew Page & Son,
began trading over 85 years ago as wholesale motor factors with
branches in Leeds and Sheffield and Andrew Page & Co Ltd was
formed in 1946.
The current Andrew Page Ltd was founded in 1979
when Jim and Andrew Page purchased the remaining 50 per cent
ownership. Rapid growth throughout the 1980s and 1990s saw the
company become one of the UK's leading parts distributors,
currently operating 38 sites.
Gent Visick was formed in
2003 by Andrew Gent and Rupert Visick, both with more than 20
years' experience dealing with all aspects of industrial
property in Yorkshire. The company has grown significantly and in
2007 transacted over 2 million sq ft, 25 per cent more than their
nearest rival.
