THE cream of Yorkshire’s public relations professionals were recognised last night at the industry’s annual awards ceremony.

Twenty one accolades were handed out at the tenth anniversary celebration of CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.

There were two gold awards each for Lava, Yorkshire Water, Aberfield Communications and Manifest, who were also named as recipients of the night’s biggest award ‘Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy’.

There were special awards for Claire Moulds who was honoured as the ‘Outstanding Freelance Practitioner of the Year’ and Elizabeth Hudson, who was named as the ‘Outstanding Young Communicator’ for her work with Barnsley-based agency Cream.

Dee Marshall was gifted with a unique award for being the ‘Communicator of the Year’ for her work as the head of communications for Welcome to Yorkshire.

Speaking after the awards, chairman of CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire group Gary Taylor, said: “After 10 years, the PRide Awards continue to highlight the best work of the region’s talented individuals and agencies.
