Printing business gets creative with launch of new division

COCKTAIL menu stands, coffee cup holders and shoes are among items a printing business has created as it plans to take hold of more markets.
Printing supply business, the Express Group, has launched a new division GoPrint3D as it taps into new markets to strengthen its offering.
The Express Group, which has a £12m turnover, was established in Ripon, North Yorkshire in 1988. It is focussed on the supply of office printer repairs and spare parts. The group has experienced continued growth and now has a network of international offices including France, Belgium, Croatia, Bulgaria and Greece. It employs 50 people in Yorkshire and 20 in its international offices.
The new 3D printing division, also based in Ripon, supplies 3D printing products and services and according to group managing director, Joanna Young, is proving a popular direction for the business to go in.
“It’s growing and growing and is really starting to take off,” she said.
Young said the business has zoomed in on the educational sector, working with a number of schools, as well as working with manufacturers.
Ten people from the Express Group will be taking part in this year’s Leeds10K Corporate Challenge sponsored by law firm Clarion.
Young said: “It was our 25th anniversary last year, so we did a number of group events outside of work, including the 10k and we loved it, so we decided to do it again. We’ve been training together and are all looking forward to it.”
The team will be supporting Saint Michael’s Hospice in Harrogate.
