Breaking news: Three Albion Place goes into administration

THE company behind Leeds members club LS1 has been placed in administration.

David Criddle, director of 3 Albion Place, confirmed the company which runs the grade II listed building of the same name has appointed Peter O’Hara and Simon Weir of O’Hara & Co as administrators.

The conference and events business along with the 3 Albion Place brand have been sold to a new company, Valleyfeature Ltd, while the club membership business has been bought by Smartmanor Ltd, a company run by Mr Criddle which owns the building.

No jobs have been lost and both companies have pledged to honour existing commitments to members and bookings for events.

Mr Criddle said: “I am delighted with the outcome of this arrangement.  It brings some new management and other resources for the conference and events part of the business.

“Now that the core developments and the property have been completed, it also ensures that Club LS1 can continue to grow.”

Mr O’Hara said: “This is the best possible outcome in the circumstances, ensuring that the work of redeveloping the community at this historic institution is able to continue.”

The administrators have been advised by law firm Clarion.
