CNG relocates head office ahead of growth

COMMERCIAL energy supplier CNG has moved into a new purpose-built 10,000 sq ft head office.

The supplier of natural gas for business, has moved into an office at No.2 Victoria Avenue in Harrogate, which will accommodate its 100 staff.

The property team in the Leeds office of law firm Ward Hadaway provided legal advice to CNG on the move, which sees it occupy the second and third floors at the Victoria Avenue offices on a 10-year lease.

The relocation increases CNG’s office space by 4,000 sq ft and consolidates its operations within one property, having previously been spread across two buildings on the same site.

It gives CNG space to grow as it pursues its aims to more than double its share of the commercial gas market from the current 4% to 10% within the next ten years, as well as expanding its operations on the electricity supply side of the business.

Kevin Weston, partner in the property team at Ward Hadaway in Leeds, led the firm’s team advising CNG on the relocation, with support from Laura Potts (property) and Neil Williamson (construction).

Weston said: “This is a significant move for CNG so it was vital that we ensured everything was right for the company to give it the room to grow which its on-going success requires.

“Our experienced team worked with the company and other professional services providers on the relocation to help things to go smoothly.

“We are delighted to have played our part in the move and we wish everyone at CNG the very best in their new home.”

Jacqui Hall, managing director of CNG added: “We now have a space which is fit for purpose and communicates our vision for CNG as a growing, ambitious energy supplier.”
