DTZ has appointed Louise Slevin as a surveyor based in the Leeds office.

She will join the office’s retail management team from Morrisons where she has been undertaking estate management across the North of England for the past seven years.

At DTZ she will specialise in retail asset management, dealing with shopping centre and high street retail investment properties on behalf of clients including CIT and DTZ Investment Management.

JENNI Dobbs has joined CBRE as senior surveyor within its building consultancy team from GVA.

The expanding team which has recently been instructed on a number of new build and refurbishment projects across the region including acting as monitoring surveyor for the JESSICA Fund to work on high-profile schemes such as the first speculative industrial development in Yorkshire for six years at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in South Yorkshire.

HARWORTH Estates, the UK property regeneration company, has made two more appointments to support its growing business.

Iain Griffin has joined Harworth’s development division as development manager. He previously ran his own independent development management practice IG Consulting, advising landowners including corporates, industrialists, high wealth private individuals and local authorities. Prior to that Iain was an associate director at MLA and a chartered surveyor at DTZ.

Jenny Cutler has joined Harworth as financial controller. She has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function including financial reporting, planning and analysis, treasury, tax, financial controls and processes. She was the group financial controller at Palletways Group and, prior to that, was an audit manager at KPMG.

WEST Yorkshire-based construction firm Harris Construction Management has appointed Paul Taylor as business development manager.

He brings more than 32 years experience in the construction industry to the position, after previously working in both business development and as a quantity surveyor at a number of well-known companies including Strata Construction, Mansell, Balfour Beatty and Hobson & Porter.

Taylor said: “Harris Construction Management is a rapidly growing organisation, that continued to grow during the downturn and is now ideally positioned to take advantage of the opportunities that are arising as the UK’s construction industry continues to emerge from recession. As a result this is a great career move and an excellent opportunity to join a fast moving business at a very exciting time.”

Harris Construction Management was founded at the end of 2007 and currently has a £22m turnover and employs a team of 25. HCM’s clients include Asda, Arla Foods, Coca Cola, The Duchy of Lancaster, PepsiCo UK, Goodman Restaurants, Burger& Lobster and Nando’s.

LAW firm Bond Dickinson has recruited three intellectual property experts to join its national team, based in its Leeds office.
 
Samantha Lucas, Rachel Hearson and Amy Galloway will all join the firm from Walker Morris over the next few months. This follows the recruitment of Patrick Cantrill, intellectual property partner, also from Walker Morris in May.
