Park Leisure adds to stable with £15m acquisition

PARK LEISURE has added to its stable of country and leisure parks across the UK with a £15m acquisition.
The York-based company has bought Plas Coch Holiday Homes in Anglesey, its biggest acquisition to date.
Founded in 1998 in Scarborough, Park Leisure turned over £40m across its ten parks in 2014, a 19% increase on the previous year.
It operates a host of luxury country and coastal five star holiday parks including Oyster Bay, the UK’s first boutique holiday park.
With the addition to their portfolio of Plas Coch, the company will now employ 300 staff members across its 11 parks.
Gary Molloy, CEO at Park Leisure, said: “The acquisition of Plas Coch Holiday Homes is a major milestone for Park Leisure, helping us to achieve even bigger presence in the UK across a total of 11 sites. It is a significant growth opportunity for the company as we continue to push industry boundaries, offering five star, premium holiday parks unlike anywhere else in the UK.
“As we continue to grow, we will maintain this luxury, first-class service for our current owners and new buyers alike, through investing in our current parks, their facilities, and our people.”
