Keeping in the digital innovation loop with Barclays

THE digital revolution brings both challenges and opportunities for businesses in the region.

Keeping up to date with new innovations, technologies and communication methods is becoming increasingly difficult. Businesses need to take advantage of these and to maximise within their strategies.

Barclays is hosting an event in response to a growth in interest amongst their own clients for information on digital solutions to meet these challenges. An afternoon of discussion and debate will focus on digital innovation and its role in transforming businesses.

Alex Turner, editor at TheBusinessDesk.com in Yorkshire, will be facilitating this exciting and engaging event featuring a variety of inspiring speakers specifically selected to stimulate discussion and fresh thinking.

“Our panellists will talk about the challenges and opportunities the digital revolution brings to businesses in your market whilst sharing their first hand experiences adapting and thriving in the digital environment.

The afternoon will also have a series of thought-provoking workshops hosted by our expert partners, focussing on how innovative thinking and digital solutions can stimulate a new generation of products and services.

Workshops will cover Digital Marketing, Innovative Payment Solutions, Cloud Computing and Cyber Security.

Networking sessions will help connect like-minded professionals in the sector whilst viewing some cutting edge digital innovations from Barclays partners and live demonstrations from our own Barclays Digital Eagles.

Within Barclays technology and digital innovations are continuously improving both customer and colleague experience.

Barclays has now processed £4.4m through cheque imaging, allowing customers quicker access to their funds, and we can service 90% of customers’ branch needs through iPads. Barclaycard continues to lead card and payments innovation with examples such as bPay, a wearable contactless payment product.

They are also using technology to give back to the community and making sure that no one gets left behind by the digital revolution. We now have 25,000 colleagues signed up as Digital Eagles globally, helping to make technology more accessible for customers, clients, colleagues and the general public.

Free to attend for established and ambitious companies looking to take advantage of the new and ever changing digital landscape why not come along and join us at the Doubletree by Hilton in Leeds commencing at 2pm, closing with a networking drinks reception from 5pm.
