Appointments: Esh Group, Dunlop Heywood

CONSTRUCTION firm Esh Group has appointed Ligh Deighton as head of business development for the Yorkshire region.
Ms Deighton has been promoted from the role of manager and joined the business following employment at Balfour Beatty and VINCI.
Esh Group recently announced a strong set of financial results with turnover up 43% on the previous year to £277m, and a leap in profit to £9.5m against £3.2m in 2013, and now Ms Deighton will aid in Esh’s efforts to keep growing.
Andy Gawthorpe, regional managing director of Esh Group said: “We are seeing increased opportunities across the construction sector in the region and Leigh will play a key role in taking our story to market. Esh Group has seen strong results and is well placed for continued expansion in Yorkshire.”
Esh employs 1,200 people across the North, offering civil engineering, commercial and house building as well as facilities management and landscaping services.

CHARTERED surveyors Dunlop Heywood have hired Robin Holme as head of office.
He has joined from Bowman Riley architects where he founded and headed up the building consultancy division, and is joined by colleague and senior surveyor Robert Catton who was a member of his team at the Leeds-based practice.
Before Bowman Riley, he had stints at EC Harris and Colliers. He holds a Masters in project management, and has 10 years of experience, including eight at Baily Garner LLP.
Director, Stuart Hicks said: “It has been a great year for the company with double digit turnover growth and that has been reflected in the number of appointments we have made over the summer.
“Confidence in the commercial property sector is getting stronger and new clients are quickly coming on board across a range of sectors including retail, charitable and transport to name just a few.”
