Shoe retailer extends its footprint into House of Fraser

MODA IN PELLE, the ladies’ footwear brand which took its first steps in Leeds in 1975, is to launch concession stores in House of Fraser’s British capital city stores.
The company opened its concession on London’s Oxford Street today and will open in Edinburgh and Cardiff in the next two weeks.
It is part of the expansion plans of chief executive David Inglis, who took up the position last October and wants to make Moda in Pelle “the go-to brand for high quality, accessible footwear and accessories”.
He said: “We want to make Moda in Pelle accessible to everyone looking for great quality footwear. Our fantastic new designs, premium fabrics and intricate detailing brings some exciting new style updates which complement our core designs to show breadth and variety in the collections. It’s great to see our UK customer wearing Moda in Pelle for every occasion with women of all ages now wearing our shoes”
The retailer received £3.5m from Business Growth Fund a year ago to fund expansion and it has recently opened stores in Cardiff, Oxford and Henley as it has grown its number of outlets to more than 60. It has also been refreshing the brand, with a new logo, packaging, website redesign to go alongside new shop fits.
