BSS to create regional distribution centre in Castleford

BSS, the piping and heating distribution arm of builders’ merchant Travis Perkins, is to create a 51,000 sq ft regional centre in Castleford.
It has bought the warehouse at Trident Park, part of Normanton Industrial Estate, which is already under construction and is due to be finished in January.
The park is close to junction 31 of the M62 and is home to companies including Fyffes, Bosch Rexroth and Speedy Hire, as well as West Yorkshire Police’s headquarters.
It is being developed on a turnkey freehold basis by the park’s contractor developer CDP Marshall.
Adam Cookson, head of property for the north at Travis Perkins, said: “We chose Trident Park due to its connectivity with the motorway network and the credentials behind CDP Marshall.”
Chris Brown of Cushman & Wakefield, who acted for BSS, said: “CDP Marshall delivered an ideal solution to meet our client’s specific requirements at a competitive price and crucially, within their strict timescales to meet fit out for early 2016.”
AWS and Carter Towler acted on behalf of CDP Marshall.
