Leeds senior partner steps up to run international law firm

VIRGINIA CLEGG, the former regional senior partner at DAC Beachcroft’s Leeds office, yesterday began work as the firm’s senior partner, following her election in July.

Ms Clegg is joined by David Pollitt, who has become managing partner, with both having a five-year term in front of them.

“There are undoubtedly exciting times ahead for the legal sector,” she said. “DAC Beachcroft is in a position of robust health and I look forward to harnessing the enviable wealth of talent within our business to plan for and shape our future.

“Building on the firm foundations laid by Simon [Hodson] and Paul [Murray], David and I will be working with our colleagues to make this business and the next phase of its development one of which we can all continue to be proud.”

Mr Pollitt added: “We are lucky to be taking over at this moment. The firm is in very good shape, full of talented people and supported by some fabulous clients. We will continue to seek growth and expansion, both nationally and internationally, in a very client focussed way.”
