Card Factory builds on its steady-but-strong growth

CARD FACTORY is continuing to open stores on a weekly basis as it maintains total sales growth around 8%.
The Wakefield-based retailer has added 45 stores to its portfolio of 809 in the nine months to October 31, with its Kirkstall Forge shop becoming number 809 two weeks ago, and its store at The Broadway in Bradford became 810 last week.
It expects to achieve its annual target of 50 net new stores this year and says it has “started to build a strong pipeline of additional new opportunities” as it remains confident of maintaining this growth rate.
“We have seen another period of consistent performance across the Group as we continue to drive growth from existing and new stores, as well as our expanding online operations,” said Richard Hayes, Card Factory’s chief executive.
“We are well prepared for the important, competitive Christmas period, and remain confident of our ability to continue to increase market share whilst delivering on all four pillars of our growth strategy.”
