West Yorkshire jobs created with £250,000 Kawasaki investment

A HYDRAULICS company is investing £250,000 in a distribution centre, creative five jobs.

Silsden-based business Advanced Component Technology first opened its distribution centre for Kawasaki components in 2013, and has now expanded it to keep up with demand.

It will supply hydraulic machinery manufacturers with products from Kawasaki, the Japanese manufacturer heavy equipment supplying the aerospace and defence sectors, as well as motorcycles.

The expanded site was officially unveiled by Keighley and Ilkley MP Kris Hopkins on 16 November 2015.

ACT director Stephen Lund said that the investment showed the company’s commitment to Kawasaki.

He said: “Our relationship with Kawasaki has gone from strength to strength and is an integral part of our business. We have invested in the new site to house more Kawasaki products to support the UK. We are already seeing new business opportunities as a result of the investment.”
