In brief: Baildon Business Park, Town Centre Securities, Bagnalls, Patisserie Valerie

BRADFORD’S Baildon Business Park has two new tenants.

It is now 41% occupied, with the rest under offer or in negotiations.

West Yorkshire Glazing has bought 6,600 sq ft of space. The company is relocating from its site in north west Leeds, bringing 12 employees to the area.

65 year-old Shipley company John Ayrey Die-Casts has bought the neighbouring 8,000 sq ft unit .

Both units at the Otley Road site were built speculatively by developer Pendle Russells, a joint venture between contractor Russells Construction and developer Pendle Projects

The deals were secured by agent Richard Heslop from Dale Edison Commercial.

Jane Waddington, managing director at West Yorkshire Glazing said: “This move is the latest phase of our expansion strategy, to address our need for increased manufacturing capacity. Current and expected future demand means we outgrew our existing premises. It was important for both customers and staff not to move too far from Yeadon. Baildon Business Park is ideally located for us and will allow us to continue to serve customers across West Yorkshire and beyond.

Norman Hinchliffe, managing director of John Ayrey Die-Casts said: “We are currently based in the centre of Shipley in an old building which no longer meets our needs, and a large amount of our stock is stored in another storage unit in Shipley.

“We will be using some of the additional space to develop a 3D printing facility, initially for our own products and R&D, but we hope to offer a service to other local businesses in the future.”
Andrew Russell of Pendle Russells said: “The experience of both of these long established businesses has been very similar, they were desperate to expand but struggled to find a site which met their needs.

“Premises can have such an impact upon the success of a business and its ability to grow, and yet there has been no development to help meet those requirements in this area for a good number of years. We’ve another 38,000 sq ft in for planning at the moment which will form three units, with all three under offer. We hope to start building this out soon, leaving a further 50,000 sq ft remaining which I’m confident will be agreed within the next few months.”

LEEDS’ Town Centre Securities has signed a deal with watch specialists Titan Black to establish its global head office at one of their London properties.

TCS’ Duke Street property in the West End will be home to Titan Black.

The listed building was acquired by Town Centre Securities for £3.1m in early 2015 to re-establish a London base.

After a £400,000 revamp, the company will be using it for their London base.

Titan Black will occupy 2,000 sq ft of retail and office space on a new 10-year lease.

Edward Ziff, chief executive of Town Centre Securities PLC, said; “The opening of our London office last year was a major landmark for the company and has enabled us to manage CitiPark’s growth whilst monitoring investment opportunities in the London market. The investment into restoring the Duke Street property has resulted in full occupation of the building following the letting to Titan Black.”

Titan Black Founder, Luke Waite, said; “The Titan Black brand has undergone rapid evolution in the past few years, with international expansion into Hong Kong, Ibiza, Monaco and Paris to name a few new locations. The new Duke Street headquarters and boutique will be the next step in the progression of the company, offering the perfect showcase for our exclusive range of watches and an exciting culmination of our growth as a cutting-edge design enterprise.”
