Fashion: What’s hot on the High Street for Spring/Summer 2016

Everyone is loving the shift into Spring/Summer with a little more sunshine and lighter evenings, oh yes please! I get super excited about putting away my winter wardrobe, its starts to feel dull and dismal, a surge of energy appears when organising my lighter and much more refreshing Spring/Summer attire.
I have recently organised the first ever fashion show in Trinity Leeds for the launch of the Leeds Fashion Festival taking place in October this year and had the privileged of working with over 20 well-known retailers. Enjoying the rare opportunity to take a sneaky preview of their fashion look books for SS/16, and I say this has not helped my shopping addiction!
Such strong looks from fashion brands like River Island, Coast, New Look and Warehouse being all about bright colours and bold prints, touches of zesty orange, shocking pink, electric blue with a splash of yellow. Armani Exchange and Mango aired on the more chic classic with monochrome and greys, very feminine pieces in white from Mango and a more sexy rock chick look with Armani Exchange, black leather cut off jacket with skinny pale denim jeans finished off with a tassel leather statement bag, very nice.
M&S, Primark and House of CB featured more muted and natural tones, with dusky pink, beige, kaki, giving a summer feel throughout the collections.
Everything sporty with Adidas and Superdry and Replay owned the denim drive for male and female, the perfect style of denim on denim, loved it!
Accessories are not to be left out this season, we saw beautiful silver pieces from Rox with the Watch Station and Boutique Goldsmith adding to the look with over-sized watches and classic silver/gold pieces.
I have so much respect for the high street fashion brands, collections just keep getting better with each season, and you can have the catwalk look at half the price, for both work and play.
There has never been a better time to think about your image and transform yourself it’s all at your reach right in Leeds city centre, we are spoilt for choice.
Happy shopping!
