Transport group gets moving with £1m investment

HAULAGE business KMS Transport are on the road to growth after investing £1m in purchasing eight new vehicles to supplement their fleet.

This year the business, which was founded in 1972 by Ken Mallinson, is also investing in more warehouse space and the launch of a European pallet network .

The Barnsley-based business offer 35,000 sq ft of warehousing and an onsite VOSA testing station to provide a complete haulage solution.

They are now investing £1m in eight new Scania Topliners to add to their fleet of 75 vehicles and 170 trailers.

Managing director, Stephen Mallinson commented, “Our business is going from strength to strength. Sometimes I find it hard to believe where we have got to since my brother and I joined our father in the late 1970’s!

“We have firm growth plans in place for the next few years and will continue to deliver exceptional service to all of our customers as we expand our team and operations.”
