Law firm moves into grade I-listed tower

HULL-BASED law firm Williamsons Solicitors has opened its third office in a grade I-listed building.
This will be the third office opening for the company in East Yorkshire.
Formerly occupied by Davis Davidson Solicitors, the business has been subsumed. Woth Steven Davidson working with Williamsons as a a senior solicitor and Mike Davis taking retirement.
Two out of Davis Davidson’s staff are retiring, with the rest of the staff, eight people in total, moving across to the Williamsons business.
Williamsons previously opened branches in Driffield in 2006 and Bridlington in 2012 after forming relationships with legal practices in the two towns.
Tower House was first built 280 years ago, whilst the adjoining Beverley Bar can tract its roots back to the 15th century.
“Having a presence in Beverley means that we can now deliver services to our large client base in the town and surrounding area at a more local level,” said Williamsons’ director Bill Waddington.
“Our offices in Bridlington and Driffield have been successful in maintaining business and attracting new clients and we have every confidence we can also be successful in Beverley.
“We are pleased to welcome Steven Davidson and that Mike Davis will still be involved. They are well regarded in the town, having built a large clientele over more than 20 years in partnership.”
Mr Davidson said that he was looking forward to working with Williamsons. He said: “It will be very much business as usual for our existing customers, with the added benefit of the extra services and resources a bigger firm like Williamsons provides.”
