Acquisition sees engineering firm relocate to major industrial park

PRECISION engineering firm Sigma Technologies have agreed to take 21,373 sq ft at a Bradford Business Park, following a buyout by engineering giant Altec.

Sigma will become tenants of the Euroway Industrial Estate in Bradford, after signing a 15-year lease for the site on the Park 26 development.

Commercial property firm Gent Visick have bucked the trend in West Yorkshire which has seen a dearth in industrial property in the area.

Sigma has relocated from Riverdale House in Shipley following its acquisition by Altec Group in August 2015.

They have taken the unit with a headline rent of £5.75 per sq ft per year.

Sigma specialises in the machining of components for the defence, power generation, nuclear and aerospace industries.

Andrew Millington, general manager at Sigma Technologies said; “Following our acquisition by Altec Group, we have been able to build on our existing customer base and continued expansion which has necessitated us moving to new premises.

“The unit n Park 26 provides us with the quality of accommodation we were looking for in an excellent location from which to service our existing and new customer base.”

Daniel Walker, surveyor at Gent Visick said: “This unit attracted a lot of attention highlighting the general scarcity of supply across the West Yorkshire market at the moment and we were pleased to achieve a headline rent commensurate with the high quality of the property and its proximity to the national motorway network.”
