Wood-fired pizzeria brings a taste of naples to Leeds

A NEAPOLITAN menu is said to await at the newest addition to Roundhay’s growing food and drink offering, Ecco Pizzeria.

Ecco Pizzeria promises a taste of naples in Leeds. Fresh ingredient imported from Naples, and pizzas cooked using wood firing techniques.

It wants to be an antidote to the “blandness” of chain restaurants, with pizza as the star of the show.

It has joined the lineup following a major £220,000 investment by entrepreneur Usman Janjua, who is also creating 20 jobs with the investment.

Classic Bruschetta and wood fired caramelised chicken as well as home-made Gelato, superfood salads and smoothies are on the menu, as well as gluten-free options.

At its newest location, Ecco Pizzeria offers freshly pasta made from durum wheat served up in Neapolitan dishes such as Pasta e Patate and Lasagne Napoletana.

At Headingley, classic pizzas such as Marinara and Margherita are joined by fresh global twists, such as the Marrakech, made with slow-cooked Moroccan spiced lamb, fresh parsley, mint and pomegranate or the Kuala Lumpur, with satay-style chicken, toasted sesame seeds, spring onion and mangetout and these are just two creations from around the world options.
