Trailer firm pulls ahead with major refurb

A FAMILY-owned trailer company has completed a major refurbishment of its main office in South Yorkshire.

John Hudson Trailers, which was set up in 1959, specialises in hire, sale and service of HGV commercial specialised trailers. Services include short and long term hire trailers, HGV DVSA testing, breakdown assistance, spares, test preparation, tachograph calibration and brake analysis for trucks, trailers, buses and other public service vehicles.

The improvements to its Bawtry offices include a single entrance way, reception area, and an open office space for customers and staff.

John Hudson Trailers has a fleet of 500 trailers for hire which can also be purchased and workshop on site. The fleet includes large hire trailers which are capable of transporting larger items such as parts for wind turbines.

Graham Robbins is one of four directors at the company.

He said: “The new office is a big step forward for us as part of our commitment to delivering for our customers. We are able to communicate more effectively so customers’ queries can be dealt with more quickly.”

Forty-eight people are employed in the business, including the company’s new operations manager Joe Clarke.

NatWest relationship director Martin Gorman arranged a six-figure loan to facilitate the revamp.

He said: “I was delighted to support John Hudson Trailers with funding facilities for the office refurbishment project which will assist the business in achieving its long-term business aspirations. We wish the team at John Hudson every success for the future.”
