Tapas restaurant group open late lounge in city centre

HALIFAX’S Ricci Group has opened its newest concept in Leeds, a tapas restaurant and late lounge on Infirmary Street.
The bar launched this week in the heart of Leeds’ professional district, building on from the group’s original Halifax sites.
Owners Michael Ricci and olivia McGorlick opened Ricci’s Place in Halifax in 2011. Their second Mediterranean style restaurant Ricci’s Tapas and Cicchetti in 2013 followed 53 Degrees North in 2014 – named for the latitude of the group’s first restaurant.
The Leeds double venue will see the restaurant serving tapas like the group’s Halifax sites
Next door, the bar and late lounge will feature international DJs next door.
Michael said: “Leeds has such a vibrant, buzzing, social scene that is constantly evolving. The bars and eateries play a vital role in making Leeds the thriving city it has become – we want to be part of it.
“We are passionate about creating exceptional food and drink to create an unforgettable experience for everyone who visits Ricci’s Tapas & Cicchetti and 53 Degrees North. We want to bring something fresh and new to the table which will surprise and excite the people of Leeds and we will do just that.”
