Village pub gets makeover and creates 10 jobs

A COMMUTER village pub has created 10 jobs following a major remodel.

The Little Mester on Nursery Road has got, among other things, extra beer garden room and two 85-inch screen televisions.

A new autumnal menu includes chickpea, spinach and sweet potato curry, the big daddy burger with barbeque pulled pork and streaky bacon, as well as a traditional apple crumble, 20p from which will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

In addition, the Little Mester has maintained its healthy selection of cask ales and wines.

Little Mester general manager, Janine Barras, said: “The Little Mester is at the heart of the North Anston community, so we are excited to be able to offer a place for locals to enjoy a drink or meal in improved surroundings.

“The opening was a real success with great feedback from guests on the delicious new menu and the fantastic interiors. My team and I look forward to welcoming more guests in the coming weeks.”
