Eighties soul legend signed for Firecracker Ball
EIGHTIES soul legend Billy Ocean is coming to Yorkshire to perform at this year’s Firecracker Ball.
The star, best known for chart toppers including Caribbean Queen and When the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going, will make a special appearance at the fundraising event in front of around 800 guests, helping to raise funds for children’s charity Barnardo’s.
The Wizard of Oz will also take centre stage at the event on November 13 at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate.
Amy Diamond, who came 10th in A Search for a Dorothy – Andrew Lloyd Webbers BBC talent search for Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz – will be performing.
The Firecracker Ball committee is appealing for sponsorship support and auction/raffle prize donations.
