A GROUP of Hull-based media specialists have vowed to “shake up” the East Yorkshire marketing scene with the formation of a brand new design and marketing agency.
The Urban Drum, EPK Marketing and Human Design have been working together since November and have already won new contracts as one team.
However, the three agencies have now relaunched as Fred – a single agency that will offer all areas of design, marketing strategy and corporate communication.
The newly formed business will be led by Helen Davies, formerly of The Urban Drum and Emma Pearson-Kendall from strategic marketing agency EPK Marketing.
Human Design’s Owen Benwell will head up a design team of four as creative director.
According to Ms Pearson-Kendall, the team are determined to put East Yorkshire on the agency map and are determined to dispel opinion that there is limited marketing talent outside of Leeds and Sheffield.
“Contrary to what some might think this a great time to launch a new agency. Marketing with the right agency can improve business performance, impact bottom line and the companies with most vision are investing for the future,” she said.
“We want to change the way businesses view marketing; it should be an investment not a cost – and that’s where Fred comes in.”
Ms Davies added: “Fred’s best asset is the relevance of the experience of our senior team.
“Having managed multi-million pound budgets in house, we understand that marketing activity must demonstrate real commercial returns, whilst years in consultancy have given the team excellent disciplines to deliver high standards in client account handling.”
