Slick £4.5m funding package boosts recycling firm’s expansion plans
Waste management specialist Slicker Recycling is set for expansion after securing a £4.5m funding deal.
Metro Bank has provided the Worcestershire-based business with a £3.5m invoice finance facility and £1m asset finance line to use as a working capital facility and to grow the fleet.
Slicker Recycling specialises in the collection and recycling of hazardous workshop waste for the automotive, transport and construction industries.
With a workforce of over 170, it operates a network of waste transfer stations, depots and processing plants.
Mark Olpin, managing director at Slicker Recycling, said: “It’s been a fast moving and exciting few years at Slicker Recycling with much more to come, so the business needed a banking partner that would be agile and flexible enough to support our growth aspirations.”
Mark Stokes, managing director commercial banking at Metro Bank, added: “This is a prime example of how at Metro Bank, we work as one team to meet the needs of our customers, with our Large Commercial team working hand-in-hand with our Invoice and Asset Finance teams to provide Slicker Recycling with a package tailored to their needs.
“Slicker Recycling has some really exciting plans in the pipeline and we look forward to helping them realise them over the years to come.”
