West Brom quits home town for major move to Dudley

THE West Brom building society has confirmed it is quitting its home borough to set up a new head office in neighbouring Dudley.

The society has agreed with Richardsons Capital to lease 70,000 sq ft of space at the prestigious Point North development in Dudley.
 
The deal represents one of the biggest office lettings in the West Midlands this year.

The site will initially accommodate around 500 staff and the society said the move provided ample scope for future expansion and growth. The additional space will also provide support services for the West Brom’s 38-strong branch network.  There will also be an administration centre providing a direct service for savings accounts, mortgages and investments.
 
Following an extensive fit-out operation, the society said it expected to occupy Point North by the autumn of 2013.

Point North is a landmark building at The Waterfront in Merry Hill.  The innovatively designed six storey tiered offices enclose a landscaped courtyard leading to canal-side terraces.
 
The building has recently been returned to its core shell, enabling the West Brom to tailor workspace to its specific needs and fully incorporate the vibrant new brand identity already visible in its modernised branch network.
