Redditch estate agency expands after new funding deal

A REDDITCH estate agency has moved into larger premises in the town following an investment of £200,000.

The new finance package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has enabled Jeremy McGinn and Co to relocate to The Old Church, a converted church building in Alcester Street a short distance from its original headquarters on Church Green East.

The larger 450m² headquarters has ensured the firm can offer a range of expanded services to its clients, together with extended opening hours, as well as free car parking.

The acquisition of the new premises was aided by Lloyds Bank’s participation in the Government backed Funding for Lending Scheme, where customers benefit from a one per cent discount over the life of the loan, helping to realise the growth ambitions of SMEs.

Established in 2009, Jeremy McGinn and Co has an annual turnover of circa £1.2m, and the new Redditch headquarters is the largest of its five regional offices, joining existing branches in Astwood Bank, Studley, Alcester and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Following the move, the firm has also outlined plans for further expansion, and is looking to increase its Redditch team of eight by 50%, bringing the company’s total number of employees across the five offices to 22.

Jeremy McGinn, managing director of Jeremy McGinn and Co Ltd, said: “This Lloyds Bank investment has enabled us to secure our move into larger premises, helping us to offer our customers a more convenient experience than ever before.

“The new office has been well received by our staff, thanks to the more spacious and comfortable environment that we now have to work in. This can only have a positive impact, and along with our plans to recruit more employees, we look forward to yet more growth in the future.”

Mark Corfield, Relationship Manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “The Funding for Lending scheme is an initiative which encourages the future expansion of the firm without impacting on its cashflow, and we’re proud to have worked with Jeremy McGinn and Co on this exciting project.”
