New chair announced for RICS West Midlands Regional Board

MONIQUE Royle, associate director at Colliers International in Birmingham, has been appointed chair of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) West Midlands Regional Board.
 
As chair, she will provide leadership and guidance on a range of objectives to set and improve local industry standards. Activities will include influencing Government policy and encouraging more young talent in to the industry by raising awareness of the various careers available in the land, property and construction sectors.
 
The West Midlands Regional Board is made up of 11 chartered surveyors from both the public and private sector working across the full spectrum of surveying disciplines, and Royle, a chartered general practice surveyor has held a seat on it for the past two years.
 
She brings to the chair role a wealth of industry experience having held senior positions at Bilfinger GVA, the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Property Advisory Unit and pubco Marstons.

She said: “I’ve really enjoyed working with RICS over the past two years to develop and deliver a range of initiatives which are having a positive impact on our local industry. So I am delighted to accept the role of chair of the RICS West Midlands Regional Board.
 
“Our region’s land, property and construction sectors continue to face many challenges but as chair of the RICS Regional Board, I will represent the interests of our West Midlands property professionals, and together with the knowledge and expertise of our experienced board members, we will capitalise on future growth opportunities for the region.”
