Customer research firm expands with ClearStream acquisition

DIGITAL research company ResearchBods, which helps brands and businesses engage with customers through its online research panel of 300,000 people, has acquired ClearStream Research for an undisclosed sum.

Leeds-based ResearchBods, whose clients include Nickelodeon, Jet2 and MTV, has added technology specialisms through its purchase of the Harrogate firm.

ResearchBods founder Jonathan Clough said: “The expertise ClearStream’s development team provides, underpins our commitment to provide the best communities platform and technology solutions for researchers.

“Over the last year we’ve invested heavily in technology and the addition of ClearStream enables us to roll out new and exciting products more quickly.”

The acquisition strengthens ResearchBods’ Insight Community solution, ex-plor, already used by a number of global brands and organisations. It also expands the company’s global offices to Athens, less than one year after opening their office in Australia.

ClearStream managing director James Clutterbuck, who will head up the ex-plor arm of ResearchBods, added: “This is an amazing opportunity for everyone at ClearStream. Over the last few years, online qual’ and in particular online communities have increasingly become the mainstay of our business.

“Joining with ResearchBods will enable us to build on what is already a great product and create something truly unique in the communities’ market place.”
