MBO at Nottingham support services firm

Nottingham-based facilities services firm Premier Support Services has changed hands in a MBO funded by Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance

Premier’s existing senior team will remain in place, with co-founder Paul Taylor remaining as executive chairman and Andy Walker, currently a director, becoming managing director

Turnover for the firm was £20m for the year ending September 2015.

Taylor said: “As we plan to grow Premier, both organically and through acquisitions, we were attracted by Investec’s flexible approach to funding growth businesses. This package has given us all the advantages of significant external capital without loss of control – in fact Investec is actively keen to support management teams who want to continue leading their business.
