High street challenger, Metro Bank, is set to create 25 jobs in Nottingham after revealing it is opening a branch in the city.

The Bank is set to open in the former USC unit on the corner of Parliament Street and Clumber Street, although it is yet to announce when an opening date.

A spokesperson for Metro Bank told TheBusinessDesk.com: “We’re delighted to have submitted a planning application for a new Metro Bank store at 46-48 Clumber Street, which will create around 25 new jobs for local people.

“We have worked closely with the local community to ensure that our proposed design will complement the existing look and feel of the high street. This is the very first step in bringing the banking revolution to the people of Nottingham and providing them with a fresh and exciting banking experience, one that’s built around their needs. With our seven day-a-week stores, which are open early until late, 362 days a year, we’re able to provide traditional banking services and build personal relationships with local people, businesses and communities.”
