A1 closed northbound in Notts after HGV fire

The A1 is closed northbound between the A46 and the B6325 due to a HGV fire

Highways England has put a diversion in place. Motorists should Eexit the A1 at Winthorpe and follow the hollow triangle symbol. Take the A46 southbound to Newark. Then take the A616 (Great N Road) northbound. At South Muskham take the B6325 to re-join the A1 at North Muskham

A statement from Highways England said: “Road users intending on using this section of road are advised to allow plenty of extra time for their journey and to consider alternative routes, if possible.”
