On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Derby-based PR and communications agency Nielsen McAllister has strengthened its team further, having appointed the former editor of Packaging News, Philip Chadwick, as a senior consultant and promoting Hannah Woods to the role of account manager.

Chadwick has experience in B2B publishing and has covered the packaging and print market, as a journalist, for over 20 years.

Chadwick has expertise and knowledge of the packaging supply chain, from design and manufacturing to technology and sustainability.

He said: “The packaging sector is facing multiple challenges this year – from legislative reform to choppy market conditions. But this is a creative, inventive and innovative industry that can deal with almost anything it faces. I’m excited to be working with Nielsen McAllister’s packaging clients to help them grow their business and communicate their unique products and services.”

Alongside this appointment, Hannah Woods moves to the role of account manager.

Having been with the agency for two and a half years, since graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in journalism, Woods has progressed through the ranks as part of Nielsen McAllister’s career development planning.

Woods said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had at Nielsen McAllister to build my skills and grow professionally. Stepping into the account manager role is an exciting next chapter, and I’m looking forward to continuing to contribute to the agency’s ongoing success alongside a great team.”

Nottingham Venues has announced the appointment of David Cartwright as head chef at its Bramleys restaurant, located within Orchard Hotel.

The former head chef at renowned Nottingham fine dining restaurant World Service, Cartwright has been excelling in the kitchen for over 15 years.

His appointment marks the start of a series of changes due to take place at Bramleys and The Orchard Hotel throughout 2025.

Cartwright said: “There is huge potential at Bramleys to create one of Nottingham’s best destinations, and I am excited to lead the team and to elevate the quality of the food and overall experience at the restaurant. We plan to develop a refined, seasonal menu within the restaurant and also offer a series of high-quality small plates in the bar for those looking for a more casual dining option.”
