Brexit would ‘create nearly 20,000 jobs’ in the East Midlands

The businessman heading up the Vote Leave campaign for the EU Referendum in the East Midlands has said that of his campaign is successful the region could create up to 20,000 jobs.

Nigel Baxter, regional chairman of Business for Britain in the East Midlands, and managing director of RH Commercial Vehicles, said: “After we Vote Leave we will be able to forge bold new trade deals with growing economies around the world. These are deals that the EU has tried and failed to achieve due to protectionist forces in Europe.

“This research shows that when we Vote Leave on 23 June we will be able to negotiate trade deals to create nearly 20,000 jobs in the East Midlands.

“As a businessman I know how important it is to reach out as many customers as possible. There is a huge world of opportunity and prosperity out there if we take this opportunity to take back control.”
