Landscaping firm designs new jobs after move

East Midlands Landscaping, the commercial landscaping business specialising in soft landscape design, construction and maintenance, has established a new permanent base in Earl Shilton after receiving a £300,000 Commercial Mortgage from HSBC.

The new premises provides East Midlands Landscaping with additional equipment storage and office space after outgrowing its former premises. The business has already recruited two new staff members, including a quantity surveyor and HR manager, with plans to recruit a further four over the next 12 months.

The company says it now wants to increase its turnover by 50% to £7m within five years.

Jon King, director at East Midlands Landscaping, said: “HSBC’s support has enabled us to buy our own facilities, marking the start of an exciting new stage for us. As a landscaping business we own multiple items of plant and machinery that require safe storage – our new building will ensure we can keep them secure and provides the space to expand further as our business continues to grow.”

Dave Welch, area director for business banking in Leicestershire, said: “This deal will provide East Midlands Landscaping with a solid base from which to continue its growth. It’s a great example of the support and help HSBC can provide businesses in the region to help them realise their ambitions.”
