Leicester jeweller signs up British riding star

A Leicester high-end jewellery store which sponsors Leicester City Football Club has secured Emma Hyslop Webb, the Olympic horse rider, as the company’s new brand ambassador.

Lanes Fine Jewellery is known for its fine diamonds and currently has on display what is thought to be the city’s most expensive diamond: the 11 carat Asscher-cut valued at over £390,000.

After agreeing a third season as the official sponsors of Leicester City Football Club, the jewellers is expanding further by breaking into the equestrian sector.

This deal will see Lanes Fine Jewellery emblazoned across all of Hyslop Webb’s championship event-wear to be seen at all high profile events including the Badminton Horse Trials.

Carli Onguc, director of Lanes Fine Jewellery, said: “The minute I met Emma, I knew I wanted to work with her. Emma is an inspirational athlete and our partnership enables her to continue to train, develop and compete horses on a world-class level whilst promoting the company as our brand ambassador”.

The new partnership also sees Lanes Fine Jewellery and Emma Hyslop Webb, launching an exclusive ladies club under the name Lanes Ladies.
