On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

PwC has appointed Carl Sizer as leader of its financial services (FS) practice in the Midlands, as part of the firm’s ongoing investment in its regional FS presence.

Now based at the firm’s Birmingham office, Sizer moved to the region from PwC in London where he was partner for almost seven years within the firm’s banking and capital markets segment. He has been at PwC for over 17 years, providing audit and advisory services to a number of international and domestic financial institutions as well as spending two years in our New York practice working with a global investment bank.

In his new Midlands role, Sizer will head up a team of around 100 FS specialists based across PwC’s Birmingham, Castle Donington and Milton Keynes offices.

Loughborough-based William Davis ─ the housebuilder ─ has appointed new homes specialist, Viv Aldridge, as sales manager.

Aldridge has been involved in the marketing of new homes and prestigious housing developments for nearly fifteen years.

She said: “As a local I’ve always been aware of William Davis’s excellent reputation and having worked for a number of housebuilders not only in the Midlands but also as far south as Dorking in Surrey, I have always admired the quality of build of William Davis homes and the locations of their developments, which are exceptional. So, I was absolutely thrilled when the opportunity presented itself.”

Aldridge will be based at Forest Field, the company’s HQ and will be working closely with senior sales manager Sally Brookes, under the guidance of sales director Stephen Rush.
