1. Coca Cola Truck

Share the festive cheer and explore a winter wonderland as the Coca-Cola Truck drives in to Lincoln this weekend. For many, the famous holidays are coming advert appearing on television is the official start of Christmas. As the advert will be airing again after 21 years, the Coca-Cola Truck has added an extra sprinkling of magic with a new truck experience. This year visitors will be able to explore a special winter wonderland before enjoying a can of Coca-cola coke from the truck itself!
2. Steampunk Christmas Market
Date: Saturday 10th December
Location: Sneinton Market Square, Nottingham
Experience Victorian science fiction brought to life as Sneinton Market hosts its first annual open air Steampunk-inspired market this weekend. With live performances, food, drink, and Steampunk goodies, Sneinton Market has everything you need from brass goggles to brass bands.
3. Jack and the Beanstalk
Date: Saturday 10th December – Tuesday 3rd January
Location: De Montfort Hall, Leicester
This weekend, a traditional family show full of music, laughter, silliness and featuring a dancing cow, will take to the stage in Leicester. X Factor winner, Sam Bailey will be taking centre stage as Queen of the Flower Fairies for this year’s pantomime, helping to tell the classic tale of poor old Jack who sells the family cow for a pile of old beans.
4. Living advent calendar
Date: Friday 9th – 11th December
Location: Various venues in Cathedral Quarter, Derby
In the run up to Christmas, Derby Cathedral Quarter will be running a special advent event each day offering something different to get involved in. This Friday, attend the launch event of the What a wonderful world exhibition at the Quad, Market Place or go along to Saturday’s event where there will be a plethora of live festive music throughout the day. Games Workshop will be hosting a gaming day too on Sunday.
5. WHASP Comedy Night
Date: Friday 9th December
Location: Woodford Halse Social Club, Daventry, Northamptonshire
Relax after a long week with an evening of laughter hosted by Flock Comedy this Friday. Bring your family, friends and work colleagues to giggle the night away as three comedians including headline act, Chris McCausland entertain you. The bar will be open, nibbles will be on offer and the social club will play music to end the evening.
